November 15 – December 22
Holiday Gifts for healthcare workers, teachers, first responders and tradespeople
December is when our four occupation categories, healthcare, education, first responder, trades, collapse into one rush. The nurse on the family group text, the second-grade teacher who survived another November parent-teacher-conference week, the EMT cousin pulling Christmas-Eve shifts, the electrician brother-in-law whose phone never stops ringing in cold-snap weather: they all show up on the same shopping list, and the gift-giver who tries to handle them one at a time at the mall ends up with four gift cards to the same coffee chain. We built this occasion page so the gift-giver can shop for all four households on one screen, with picks chosen for cross-category breadth rather than depth in any single role.
The picks lean toward mugs (the universally welcomed warm-drink vessel: every shift on every calendar starts with coffee or tea) and totes (a December tote does double duty as the cookie-tin transport, the school-Secret-Santa gift bag, and the post-Christmas grocery hauler when the rest of the kitchen is full of leftovers). We surface tees more sparingly in this picker because tee sizing is the most likely to be wrong for a cross-category gift list: when in doubt the gift-giver should default to the mug or tote variant. Each pick is the cleanest occupation-level design rather than the most niche sub-specialty, again to widen the chance the gift lands without the gift-giver needing to know the specific unit or grade or trade tier.
